Carla Rockwell

Thursday, June 24th, 2010

carla-rockwellCarla has been such an amazing employee, not just for the past month, but since she began working at Southern Tier Veterinary Associates.  Her easy going and upbeat nature makes clients and staff happy to be around her.  In the past several weeks to months, Carla has truly become a rock of stability in our practice. She has stepped in to ensure shifts are covered while one co-worker has been dealing with a family illness and another when a co-worker cut her hours back to care for her family. Carla always has a ready smile and a “Good Morning/Afternoon” for you, even on the most hectic days. With multiple phone lines ringing, clients arriving and departing, and the rest of the staff coming to her with multiple questions and requests, Carla manages to prioritize, complete her work quickly and efficiently, and keep our hospital running smoothly.

Dr. Clare Walker

Saturday, May 1st, 2010

dr-clare-walkerDr. Clare Walker is an asset to our hospital and we would like to extend our appreciation towards her continual exceptional efforts.  The areas in which she excels are patient care, education, employee relations, time management, and organization.

Dr.  Walker gets along well with everyone in the hospital.  She is even-tempered and polite.  She will answer any question in a kind and thoughtful manner.  She will pitch in to help whether it be drawing blood on a difficult pet or answering client questions that happen to be at the front desk.  She conducts herself in a professional manner and never speaks negatively about anyone.  She maintains her composure even in the most difficult situations.

In regards to patient care, Dr. Walker excels in patient education.  Clients with complex medical issues are given handouts, and written instructions in addition to her thorough explanations.  She has excellent time management skills.  Quality patient care is not sacrificed even at the busiest of times.  She makes confident medical decisions which make clients feel secure in her care.
In summation, we are honored to have Dr. Walker at Boone Animal Hospital, and would like her to know that we value her as an employee and friend.

Dr. Stacey Dallas

Monday, January 18th, 2010

stacey-dallasDr. Stacey Dallas has been with Naugatuck Veterinary Hospital for the last three years.  In that time, she has become a very respected and dedicated veterinarian. She has a very kind and gentle way about her that shows with every client and furry friend that she encounters. Dr. Dallas has been known to go above and beyond the call of duty by caring for the most critical patients long after the hospital is closed, at times even monitoring them throughout the evening. She has stepped up to the plate on numerous occasions by coming in on her days off to help out in any way, even on Christmas Eve when she was planning on cooking dinner for fifteen people. When our medical director went on an extended horse vacation for three months, Dr. Dallas became the interim medical director where she worked extremely hard to keep the hospital working together as a team. It is not uncommon to see Dr. Stacey folding laundry or cleaning a soiled animal if the need arises. The team works very well with her. The love of the veterinary profession is apparent in her actions whether she is working on a sick dog, communicating to an anxious client or discussing a case with a team member. These and many more reasons are why Naugatuck Veterinary Hospital is honored to have Dr. Stacey Dallas as Pet Partners employee of the month.

Congratulations Dr. Stacey on a great job, and thanks for being part of our team.

debbieheavenDebbie Heaven is a perfect example of the concept that leadership is more about serving than leading. As a dedicated employee of eighteen years with North Ridge Veterinary Hospital, and beginning in a reception role, she has progressed to be a true leader of the hospital. Debbie enables her team to succeed and is dedicated to the North Ridge family.

When Debbie is faced with a challenging situation, she always looks for the answers through her team. We are pleased to recognize Melissa Lantro from Boone Animal Hospital as our team member of the month! For more than 10 years, Melissa has provided outstanding care to her patients at Boone. In her role as a surgical technician, she has consistently provided exceptional support in surgery, and her care for the animals goes beyond normal business hours. If her patients need to stay overnight, Melissa often makes a special trip back to the hospital to check on them at night.

Her attention to detail and commitment to excellence extends to every aspect of her job. The staff can find her working after hours preparing materials for the following day’s work. Melissa is respected by her coworkers who find her to be consistently pleasant, helpful and professional.

For all of these reasons and many more, we are proud to honor Melissa as Pet Partners’ team member of the month.

We’re pleased to congratulate Carol Michelfelder from High Peaks Animal Hospital as our team member of the month!

Carol filled a vacancy in the tech department last year, after having worked in our kennel for periods in the past. She always has a positive attitude, and is willing to learn new things. She has quickly learned many skills through “on the job training,” and does everything asked of her with a smile.

She also has a great demeanor with clients, whether their needs are simple or more complicated. Her concern for animals and their owners shows in all of her interactions. When needed, Carol will also fill in when we are short on kennel staff. Carol really does her part and more to give the clients, and her co-workers, a positive experience at High Peaks Animal Hospital.

Congratulations Carol and thank you for all that you do!

Debbie Stampahar

Sunday, March 1st, 2009

debbie-employeemocrop1It is my great pleasure to announce Pet Partner’s Employee of the Month, Debbie Stampahar from North Ridge Veterinary Hospital. Debbie has been with Pet Partners as a Certified Pharmacy Technician for nearly four years, and her combination of professional excellence and genuine thoughtfulness toward her team and patients make her the perfect choice for this recognition.

Debbie performs her responsibilities as the hospital’s pharmacy technician with great diligence and accuracy, especially when caring for home-bound patients who need their medication mailed to them quickly. But she also goes beyond her job, assisting her team with anything that might need to be done, from filing and answering phones, to assisting with patient X-rays and lab forms. She is a true resource who stands ahead of the pack.
Her contributions also extend beyond typical office hours. Debbie checks on pets during off hours, and even braved a winter storm to make sure our patients were warm when the electricity went out. But perhaps no one truly appreciates her caring nature as much as Biscuit, the office cat, who stays with Debbie during weekends and holidays when the office is closed.

I join Biscuit, and all of the veterinarians and staff at North Ridge Veterinary Hospital, in thanking Debbie for her commitment and dedication to North Ridge, and I congratulate her on being our first Employee of the Month.
