Objective:
Canine Hyperadrenocorticism is a common endocrine disorder that in some cases can be challenging to diagnose and manage.  In this presentation, Dr. Kintzer reviews the available diagnostic tests for hyperadrenocorticism.  He discusses the current treatment options including protocols and adverse effects for pituitary dependent hyperadrenocorticism and adrenal tumors.

About the Presenter:
Dr. Kintzer received his DVM from Cornell University. Following an internship at the Animal Medical Center and an internal medicine residency at Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine, he was on staff at Tufts for 5 years. For next several years, he was the internist at Boston Road Animal Hospital. He is currently with Bay State Veterinary Emergency Services and Ocean State Veterinary Specialists. He has written many articles and chapters on canine and feline endocrinology and lectured nationally and internationally on endocrine disorders. Dr. Kintzer is a diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine and a past president of the Society for Comparative Endocrinology.
