Let’s admit it; we’re all crazy cat people. There’s just something about those moody, independent fur-balls that we can’t seem to get enough of. That’s why we decided to share this recipe from Evermine Occasions for homemade crunchy tuna cat treats for your favorite felines. These treats are fun to make, and you probably have all of the ingredients in your pantry!

What You’ll Need

Canned Salmon

Canned Tuna
5 oz, in water, drained

Oat Flour

Oat Flour
1/2 cup

Whole Wheat Flour

Whole Wheat Flour
1/2 cup

Egg

Egg
1 egg

Olive Oil

Olive Oil
1 tablespoon

Dried Catnip

Dried Catnip
1 heaping tablespoon

Baking Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line a baking sheet with parchment and set aside.
  2. Combine all ingredients in a food processor with the blade attachment. Blend until mixture is smooth.
  3. Roll into small ½ teaspoon balls and place onto the parchment. Press a finger each ball to flatten slightly.
  4. Bake for 10-12 minutes until they are slightly browned. Cool completely before surprising your kitty with a treat made just for them!

Tips

Want to try to make your own oat flour? It’s actually pretty easy! Simply grind old-fashioned oats in a clean coffee grinder until transformed into a light powder.
